Morning All!

And how is everyone today? Hope you all have something lovely planned for the weekend? Daemo and I had yesterday off and went to Leeds Castle. It's only down the road from us but we've never been in the castle before, only to see the fireworks on bonfire night! Anyway, we had a fabby day and it was lovely to do something different :o)

Onto my card and this is my Mum's Mother's Day card. Probably not the usual stamp you'd expect to see on a Mother's Day card but as my Mum loves card making too I thought it was perfect! Oh, and yes it's another Tilda.....just like buses ay, lol! Here's my card...

Howdy Peeps,

Wow, what a beautiful day we're having down here. Glorious sunshine and warm, it finally feels like spring is on it's way. Daemo and I have the day off tomorrow too so fingers crossed the weather stays like this!

I made this card for one of my netball team mates who is just getting into card making.....talk about pressure, lol! We've spoken about Magnolia stamps so I just had to use a Tilda, that and the fact that I haven't inked up a Tilda for sooooo long and I was desperately missing her, lol! So here she is...

Hope you're all well? What's happened to the spring weather then, netball tonight was absolutely fffffreeeeezing!! So much so that I stayed after our game to support one of our club teams and only managed to watch half of their game as I couldn't feel my hands, bbrrrrrrrr! But another win in the bag for us and player of the match for me too, wahooooo!! :o)

Onto my card and as the title suggests, my organisation didn't last long did it? Lol! I was sure I'd scheduled a post so I'm blaming blogger.....but obviously it wasn't blogger's fault, just me and my usual tardiness, ha ha! Morning All!

Yes I'm actually here on a Saturday can you believe it?!! See, I told you I was getting organised...although I still need to catch up with you all, but that's what weekends are for right?! Hope everyone is well? My week has been pretty manic as per! Working all week and I've been out three nights too - ooooo get me, no wonder I'm knackered poor old bird lol! Daemo is home this weekend (wahoo!) so we're out visiting today and tonight but tomorrow will hopefully be a quiet one and we can get some jobs done. Nothing exciting, just sorting out the kitchen cupboards (boring!) but you feel so much better when it's done don't you?! See, I'm definitely getting old (am old!) lol!!

Onto my card and this one I made for my Nephew Henry who was 15 last Sunday. His birthday is the same day as his Mum's (my Sister-In-Law) so we went out for lunch, v nice! Teenage boys cards.....have to be the hardest ones to make don't you think?!! Here's my effort...

Coo-ee, Did you miss me??

My Internet has been down for well over a week now, man it's hard to live without it! You just don't realise how much you rely on it until it's not there anymore.....shopping, food shopping, banking and of course catching up with you talented ladies! But not having any Internet meant some of the mundane jobs got done, like the ironing so I guess it wasn't all bad?!.....oooooo, it's so good to have it back!!

I hope you've all been well over the last couple of weeks? Typically my Internet went down just as I had caught up with you all...and now I'm behind again lol!! I'd love to go back over the last fortnight but I think I'd still be catching up in a week's time so I'm going to start from today instead!

Good morning all!

So how was your weekend? Did you get up to anything exciting? Daemo was home this weekend so we were busy getting jobs done, we have loads going on at home at the moment but it's all VERY exciting so the jobs are VERY exciting too (and VERY expensive, lol!!). All good fun though :o))

I know, I know, please don't faint.....I may be about 12 hours late but at least I made it on a Saturday wahoo!! The first time I've actually posted my card on a Saturday for ages, but this is the start of things to come as I get myself more organised, right?.....well let's hope so lol!

So how are you all? I'm quite behind with catching up with you all (well I can't have it all, lol!) but I'm going to have a mammoth session tonight and try and get up to date. I do miss not being able to catch up daily but slowly and surely I'll get back into the routine! It's soooo good earning again, but the compromise is the lack of 'free' time.....oh to win the lottery lol!! My job is going well though, the people are really nice and the commute is perfect so all in all it's happy days :o))

A good 5 inches at least!!...

...That's how much snow we had in the night! And I've spent a good 2 and a half hours today trying to clear it, just call me Mrs Snowplow lol!! Hubby is away this weekend racing and will be home tonight in the van, so I cleared a walkway from the gate to the back door in the back garden, then the driveway so he could get his van on when he gets home, then the road out the back of our house (as some of the neighbours had cleared their parts of the road), and then our other drive so I can get my car out tomorrow!! Man it was hard going, and hasn't really done my wrist any favours at all!! But hopefully it'll make getting about tomorrow so much easier, as long as we don't have any more snow tonight of course!! I did text hubby and tell him he owes me BIG time, but he can make it up to me on my birthday on Friday with BIG presents!!.....he hasn't replied yet lol!

So onto my card. The more organised I try and be the more unorganised I actually am, does that happen to you?! I think it's because I start doing a job and so my brain goes into 'job' mode and then I think of all the other jobs that also need doing, so I get completely side tracked from the job in hand and try and do everything at once!! So I'm late posting my Sketch Saturday DT card again as I was side tracked starting more jobs!! But here it is, this is for my Nephew who's going to be 10 on Wednesday...

Oh I'm so, so late again, for the third week running!! I blame the new routine which I'm just getting myself into so fingers crossed I'll be back to 'normal' soon lol! But I have managed to catch up with you all, wahooooo!! So at least I'm definitely heading in the right direction!! So far this weekend I've been into town to do a bit of shopping, filed and paid the VAT, filed hubby's Tax Self Assessment, done all the washing, done my big food shop and sorted out my new work bag (which was actually an old work bag that was full of rubbish!!). Now to post my Sketch Saturday DT card from yesterday, a quick hoover up and then I can sit and make a card, wahoo! Oooo it's tough fitting in what used to fill a whole week into just 2 days lol! Buuuuut, it is such a nice feeling knowing I'm earning money again, and the first week went well too so happy days! Hope next week is as good?...

Evening All

I know, I know, it's been waaaaay too long again and I'm so far behind with my commenting too :o( I think I'm going to give myself the last two weeks off as I wouldn't even know where to start now?! It's been pretty hectic here as I've been trying to get all my jobs done before starting my new job tomorrow.....eek! I keep getting butterflies, I'm so nervous! Fingers crossed it all goes ok!...

Morning All!

Well I still haven't made it round to you all yet, apologies, I'm so sorry for being such a bad blogger. I'm hoping to have a mammoth catch-up session tonight with you all. I spent all day Saturday finishing off my bedroom, Mum came down and we wall papered one of the walls and then put the room back together ready for the un-veiling when Daemo came home. I'm really, really pleased with it and (luckily!) Daemo likes it too! :o) Oooo it's lovely having a new duvet and pillows!

So, life being busy, well this is what I've been up to.....I've only managed to go and get myself a job haven't I, WAHOOOOO!! I'm sooooo chuffed but also very nervous, it's been over 10 years since I started a new job! It's initially a 3 month contract with the potential to be extended to 18 months, hopefully I'll be starting the week after next. Which of course means that next week I'm going to be flat out doing all the jobs I've been putting off, starting with re-decorating our bedroom! Now I know I've got some money coming in I can get cracking and buy all the bits I want :o) Happy days! I hope your 2012's have started so positively too :o)

Happy New Year, wahoo!!

Yes it's finally here, 2012 is upon us and fingers crossed it's going to be the best year yet!! Ha ha, I say that every year but I really hope this year is going to be a good one. We've had some real rubbish years recently (yes my middle name is lucky, lol!) but I'm starting this year with a positive outlook on life, it's got to help right?! Wishing all of you a happy, healthy and crafty good year!! :o)

You've probably seen loads of "Top 10 for 2011's" but I thought I'd join in too, it's fun to look back and see how far you've come or how much your 'style' has changed isn't it! And as others have done I'm also going to choose my Top 10 (or should that be 12?!) by month but as I had a broken wrist for 7 weeks (really, only 7 weeks...it definitely felt like longer!) I've only got 11 months to choose from!! So here we go, my top 11!...

January

I made this card for my Mum and I love the rich colour combo and DP's. I think this was the first card I ever used Wild Orchid flowers on too!

February

I made this card for our friends daughter who I thought was turning 13, but she was actually turning 12, doh! Although her father did say she was going on 15 so I was alright, lol! Anyway, I was really happy with my colouring on this card and loved the purple and aqua colour combo.

March

This one I made for my Sister-In-Law and so began my love for these MME papers! I love the girlyness of this card and the layout too.

May

This is my favourite for May, not because it was necessarily my favourite design but because I was sooooo desperate to get back to card making I actually made this one with my cast still on!! So I'm quite impressed with my efforts really (although I used my blender pen a lot to correct where I'd gone over the lines lol!!)

June

This grunge-tastic card I made for my Brother-In-Law, I love all the distressing and the 'letting myself go' element I had with this card - it was lots of fun to make!!

July

This was my Dad's birthday card and one of the first 'scene' cards I'd made, I especially love the little picture frame of me and my Dad in his 'front room' lol!

August

I made this card for my cousin, I absolutely LOVE 'Gorgeous' and the DP's and simplicity of this one

September

My one and only ever CAS card!! I really enjoyed making it and really should try this style more often

October

This one I made for one of my Netball team mates, it started another love affair with these MME DP's lol! Loving the girlyness again

November

This one I made for my Auntie, another Belles n Whistles (another love affair, lol!) but I think these MME DP's are absolutely gorgeous. A fab colour combo of Blue and Brown and another girly creation, lush!

December

It has to be a Christmas card in December doesn't it! So here it is, the one I made for my Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law

Fun huh! I hope you enjoyed my little trip down memory lane, there were lots of new 'love affairs' going on - MME DP's (sooooo many gorgeous collections to choose from!), Belles n Whistles stamps, Tilda (always a favourite), Lace, doodling and Kraft card, gosh what did I do before Kraft card lol?!!

Last one for 2011...

Morning All,

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and Santa bought you some lovely pressies? We had a great time over at my Mum & Dad's on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day whilst spending Christmas Day with my Sister-In-Laws, Brother-In-Laws, Nephews, Niece and Father-In-Law. Seeing all the family and playing games is what Christmas is all about, although my little present pile also put a smile on my face lol! And I got some crafting goodies too, wahoo!! But as much as I love Christmas I also find it tough, especially as the 30th December is our sons birthday, he would've been 4 yesterday but devastatingly for us he was still born. So it's all a bit emotional at this time of year. I know I'm not the only one who finds it hard as we all remember our loved ones who have passed, so special big hugs to all of you who also have a tough time at Christmas ((( )))

Well it's finally here, Christmas Eve is upon us and now the merriment can start as anything I've forgotten to do is too late to worry about now, lol! Apologies for not being around the past couple of days, we've been visiting family and friends who we're not seeing over the festive break. I think that's the best thing about Christmas, catching up with all your nearest and dearest, happy days :o)

Morning All!

And as my post title suggests I only have a couple more Christmas cards to make, wahooooo! I'm really going to get organised next year, I can't stand all the panic and stress and I've woken up again today with another migraine :o( I'm trying to ignore the burning in my left eye and the feeling of nausea as I type this - I HAVEN'T GOT TIME TO BE SICK lol! Hopefully it'll wear off soon... It's crazy getting stressed over cards isn't it, what a nutter! But last night I went through my list and wrote them all out, I only have two more to make and I'm done, phew! So on with my post and then I can get cracking and send them, AT LAST!! I do love this time of the year honest, I just hate my lack of organisation! Next year things will be different.....didn't I say that last year?!

Yep I'm back again so soon, lol! Today with a Christmas Card I made for my Mum, Dad and Bro last week but didn't get around to posting yet. I used my new Sugar Nellie 'Old St Nick' stamp, he's just such a perfect Santa isn't he?!...

I'm feeling much better today after my self inflicted hangover yesterday, so I plan to get into my craft room for a big session! I still have loads of cards to make, and this year I thought I was organised, lol! Still, I have some ideas in mind so fingers crossed I can get busy today :o))

It was such a fun evening :o) They had a live singer on in the restaurant so that really added to the atmosphere. I made some trivia cards for the tables, one on Sport, one on Movies, one on Music and a General Knowledge one to see how well everyone knew Daemo, the singer even read some of the questions out, lol! We also had a little raffle with some of Daemo's favourite films to give away on DVD and the grand prize was.....an Arsenal Rubber Ducky, lol! Well we had to have something Arsenal related as Daemo is a huge fan! All in all it was a great night and I think everyone enjoyed themselves :o)

Morning All!

I know, a bonus post...and a birthday bonus post at that, lol!! Although it's not my birthday today but it's my lovely hubby's and today he's the big 40!! It's going to be a mad busy couple of days let me tell you!! He came home last night driving a Maserati Grancabrio which (very luckily!) one of the farmers that own his workshop let him use for the weekend. Ooooo it's a bit posh! Today we're going to Bluewater to do some shopping and maybe watch a film. Then later on we're meeting Daemo's Dad, Sister and Bro-In-Law, Nephews and Niece and we're off to Ed's Diner for dinner, yum! Tomorrow will be a mad baking day for me as I need to make his giant cupcake birthday cake and 26 normal sized cupcakes for all the guests as we're going out to our favourite Chinese restaurant for diner. We have a little raffle lined up for our guests with some of Daemo's favourite films as prizes (and an Arsenal rubber ducky as the grand prize lol!) and the Chinese have a live singer on too so all in all it should be loads of fun! But enough waffle, here's my card to my super Hubby!...

And a Happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a good weekend? Were you happy with the result of I'm a Celebrity? And the finalists of the X-Factor? Poor Robbie and Ola being voted out of Strictly :o( Although they did deserve to go really but it was still a shame!

Morning all!

And Happy Saturday to you! I hope your weeks have been good? Did you put your deccies up yet? I know it's only the 3rd December but mine go up on the 1st, I've even been known to put them up at the end of November, lol! I just love seeing all the lights twinkling away, and I have a LOT of twinkling lights - 2 trees with 2 sets of lights on each plus other sets on top of my kitchen cupboards and on the side board.....not to mention the outdoor ones! What can I say, I'm a Christmas Cracker, lol! (I'll post some tree pictures up soon I promise!)

Afternoon All!

Although it still feels like morning to me as I started writing this this morning and then got side tracked. Do any of you have that problem too? I have about 100 unfinished jobs to do, lol!! Anyway, I hope you're all good? It's certainly turned very wintery out there hasn't it? Mum and I popped into town yesterday to do some Christmas shopping and it was really chilly! Although we soon warmed up when we were lugging all the bags around going from cold outside to boiling hot in the shops with our coats and scarves on, lol! Should've gone to Bluewater, that'll teach us!!

WOWZERS, amazing prizes or what?! You know what to do!!...

So on Saturday I had a trial run for Hubby's birthday cake and I made a Giant Cupcake! Well.....it was massive!! The cake tasted delicious but the icing around the bottom of the cupcake was a bit of a disaster :o( Just means I'll have to practise some more ay, lol! Think I'm going to google it to see how the pro's do it!! Here's how it looked (just ignore the collapsed icing, lol!)...

You can't tell the size from the picture but it's actually sitting on a dinner plate! It tasted lovely, in fact we're still munching through it he he he!!

Hope everyone's well? Apologies for not visiting this week but I hope to catch up with you all today. My internet was fixed (thank goodness!!) but I've had another bad head week and been poorly with a migraine again :o( I think I was in bed by 7pm on both Wednesday and Thursday nights!! Yesterday was much better though and I was mainly just tired so fingers crossed today I'll be back to normal (whatever 'normal' is lol!!).

Morning All!

Well my Internet has decided to work today, thank goodness! Gosh that was a long couple of days I can tell you, lol!! So I'll be round to catch up with you all soon, I'm sure you've been busy with your fabulous inspiration :o)

As I couldn't surf Monday night I decided (whilst watching I'm a Celeb, isn't it fab!!) that I'd make another Christmas Card, and here it is!...

Afternoon Peeps!

Sorry I'm sooooo late posting today, my bloomin' internet has packed up on me grrrrr! You don't realise how dependant you are on it until it doesn't work, I feel like my right arm has been cut off, lol! So at the moment I'm sitting in my husbands workshop using his internet, lol! I'll make my apologies now for missing out on some of your gorgeous creations this week, the engineer isn't coming out until Wednesday and I really hope he can fix it then!!

Morning all,

And as the title of my post suggests, so much for me getting ahead with my Christmas cards this week!! And I was making such good headway last weekend but I always jinx myself and say I'm going to make more cards then run out of time!! It's been a very busy week here what with paperwork and seeing family and friends, sadly not all fun though as we had a funeral on Thursday, our friends Dad xxx A very sad day but also extremely hard for us as it was the first time we've been back to the crematorium since our sons funeral xxx It was really tough and just so exhausting and I've had a migraine since Wednesday evening. Fingers crossed the pressure lifts today. We're going to see our friend (who lost his Dad) this evening so if all else fails and my head is still pounding I'll have a couple of very large glasses of wine tonight (in fact I think I'll have them anyway!!)

Onto my card and this one I've made for my Auntie whose birthday it is today, Happy Birthday Auntie Maisie! I've used this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch and a gorgeous Belles n' Whistles stamp, I saw this one around blog land and just HAD TO HAVE HER!! Here's my card...

Morning All!

Did you all have a good Fireworks night? I saw some of our local display from my bedroom window but it wasn't quite the same as actually being there! I told Hubby yesterday he wasn't allowed to work this weekend next year as I really did feel like I was missing out lol! Well, who wants to grow up anyway right?! And speaking of growing up, I had such a super day yesterday!! I decided I was going to have an easy day making cards so I moved our DVD player out from the bedroom and into the craft room and watched.....National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (I think it has to be my favourite Christmas film!!) followed by Home Alone 1. Ooo I absolutely loved it and it really put me in the mood for Christmas cards, lol! I do have to do some bits and pieces today but I might squeeze in the Santa Claus movie if I get the chance, lol!!

So, speaking of Christmas (sorry people, I'm one of those who gets excited for it in August!) here's one of my makes from yesterday. And as the title suggests I've been a bit naughty.....and given in to my Simply Sassy need!! Yes you all make such beautiful cards with these stunning girlies that I couldn't resist any longer! But I've been very retrained and only bought a couple of Christmas ones so that I can add some of the others to my 'Christmas wish list'!! Here's Tammy...

Although you can't actually tell from the piccie, the ribbon is so soft and furry! Do you like her? I love this colour combo and you maybe seeing more of it!!
